A new virtual reality game is coming to Quest and Steam VR!
Noun Town is a language-learning game that puts you in a world where learners are surrounded by culture. This world has 16 different NPCs that have been added to the game that all have different voices and accents so learners can get used to unique voices speaking the targeted language. They also will become more friendly as you interact with them so learners can get used to formal and less formal tones.
A little robot called Lexibot follows you around and helps people learn the language they choose! Lexibot will show learners how words are spelled and pronounced.
When you get into the game Noun Town is gray and dull. By learning the targeted language learners will fill the city with color and can watch their progress grow! As the world fills with color, fun mini-games will pop up and challenge learners.
RealiaXR has added six languages to learn: Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, French, German, and Italian. They plan on adding more languages to the game in the future. Learners can also switch between languages and the game will save their progress.
The people at RealiaXR have released a demo on Steam for free if anyone wants to give it a try. Noun Town is said to release on Quest on December 1 and December 15 for Steam VR. The game isn't going to be limited to learners that have a VR headset either. RealiaXR is planning on making a PC and mobile version, so everyone can have a chance to learn a new language in the world of Noun Town.
